Don Trucking receives 20 brand new IVECO S-WAY LNG tractor units
We are moving forward with the change to a low-emission fleet
On 20th August we received 20 IVECO S-WAY LNG tractor units with 460 HP engines, equipped with the most modern drive system, equipped with the most modern drive system, using liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel. By the end of this year, our fleet will be strengthened by another 20 of the same tractors. The new model is meeting the emission standards that will apply from 2022.
IVECO S-WAY LNG are tractors and truck chassis designed as vehicles powered exclusively with natural gas, designed for road use, mainly in long-distance traffic. With an output of 460 hp and a range of up to 1,600 km (LNG), it offers best-in-class long-haul performance, the lowest fuel consumption in the history of the model and the longest service intervals. This vehicle is able to achieve up to 15% lower fuel consumption while reducing emissions of particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (NOx) and carbon dioxide (CO2) by up to 95% when running on biomethane compared to vehicles equipped with a diesel engine compatible with the current Euro VI / C emission standard.
It is worth mentioning that at the end of 2018, we were the first customer in Poland who received 20 IVECO Stralis NP tractors, thus starting the process of completely replacing the fleet from trucks with diesel engines with vehicles that can be powered by both LNG and Bio -LNG. That means that soon we will have 60 low-emission tractors that will help us move closer to our goal – to be the first carbon neutral transport company in Europe in 2025.
Why to invest in a low-emission fleet? Why LNG trucks? We answer to this and many other questions here.
